Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.

Update: Had a cervical disc replacement done most recently. All the staff I came into contact with pre op nurse Payton, recovery nurses Amanda and Cindy, OR nurse April, anesthesiologist Dr Franck, and of course both my surgeon and PA were all very nice. Thank you so much. Staff was all amazing. Pre Op nurse Michael, post op nurse Kaitlin, procedure nurse Julie, anstheiologist and Dr Sales and Pa Sean. The facility is clean. Very nice waiting room and easy to get to location. Would highly recommend this surgery center. Thank you for the amazing care during my procedure earlier today.

I have never been treated with such love and care, not only while there and in the procedure but also after. I live over an hour and a half away and that day I encountered traffic and was actually late. Despite the anxiety that I was feeling because of the procedure. They assured me and said not to worry that i would not lose my appointment and saw me even though I was late. It is the personal touch that we missed the most in this society, a simple card with the folks that took care of me in their handwriting names wished me well. Those are the things that mean a lot. Not only will I continue coming to see DR Stapleton and his team. But I highly recommend visiting him and being in the best care that you have ever been in. Thank you Doctor Stapleton and team.

The staff at this center were amazing. Totally focused on the patient and their care. I was provided with a lot of information before I even got there so I was able to go in and ask any of those last minute questions that pop into your head. I received a follow up call the next morning to make sure everything was good. I would highly recommend this facility.

The nurses and staff are amazing. I was super nervous to have my procedure done, but they made me laugh and put me at ease. Truly they knew what they were doing and were really great at making me feel better mentally before, during and after the procedure. Thank you to Harly and the other nursing staff for doing an amazing job making me feel safe and relaxed.
