Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.

I rely on this place for pain management, but I can never get anyone to answer the phone when I call. I've called up to 20 time back to back multiple times a day multiple days a week if necessary. I dont understand how they can't seem to answer a phone call. Then also when trying to call them back to set up an appointment with them I still couldn't get a. Answer I had to use up my lunch break to go there in person just to confirm a date and time. I have an appointment today and was told it would be at 2.45 and they just sent an email saying a later time. I can't get ahold of them to ask about it and its honestly very very annoying that their so unreliable for this.

Amazing first visit. My physician explained what he was going to do and allowed me to ask him questions. My nurse was amazing as well.. My 1st nerve block I was extremely nervous because I hate being put to sleep.. My nurse made me feel a bit better.

I really love this facility. In here for another surgery on my neck. Dr Hirsch is an amazing surgeon. The facility is clean and updated. I always have problems when nurses try to put in an i.v. I usually have to deal with 10 huge bruises of where the miss. Well this last time the nurse did miss 1x. Brandon came in and immediately got it in. He was my go to guy over at l.s.i. before he started working here. Jyst super nice and professional personnel. I do have two very strong recommendations ... spend 20 cents more and get some butterfly needles and make sure you write prescriptions for pain before the consumer having to plead for it.
