Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

ColonoscopyA flexible camera examines the full length of the colon to screen for cancer and remove polyps before they become cancerous. Done under sedation, it typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. The bowel prep the day before is the part most patients find hardest.Upper Endoscopy (EGD)A thin camera passed through the mouth examines the esophagus, stomach, and the first part of the small intestine. Used to investigate persistent heartburn, difficulty swallowing, unexplained bleeding, or abdominal pain. Usually takes 15 to 30 minutes under sedation.Flexible SigmoidoscopyExamines the lower portion of the colon only, rather than its full length. Preparation is lighter than a full colonoscopy and sedation is sometimes unnecessary, but it cannot detect problems higher in the colon.Capsule EndoscopyYou swallow a vitamin-sized camera that photographs the small intestine as it passes through — a region that standard scopes cannot easily reach. There is no sedation and no recovery. The capsule passes naturally, and images are reviewed after the fact.ERCPCombines endoscopy and X-ray imaging to diagnose and treat blockages in the bile and pancreatic ducts, most often gallstones stuck in a duct. Unlike a routine endoscopy, it carries a meaningful risk of pancreatitis afterward, so it is used when treatment is likely rather than for screening alone.Hemorrhoid TreatmentShrinks or removes swollen veins in the rectum and anus using rubber band ligation, injection, or surgical removal depending on severity. Banding is quick and typically requires no anesthesia; surgical removal is more effective for advanced cases but recovery is noticeably more uncomfortable.

Staff were friendly and efficient. All questions were answered and taken seriously. They came across as kind and caring. I was able to get my procedure done earlier than my scheduled time. I have had four procedures performed at this facility and am really happy with the way I was treated.

This is a great place to have your colonoscopy! Every one very friendly and attentive! They make sure you're comfortable. I had a very competent and professional physician, Dr. Evans, and so was her team!

The professionalism, kindness and attentiveness of the staff are outstanding. From the receptionist to my discharging nurse were phenomenally a true provider of service excellence! Dr. Park took the time to talk to me before and after my procedure. Everyone work together as a team which made it a very smooth process for me and very comforting to go through my procedure. Thank you Dr. Park, Mark CRNA, Tammy, Shannon RN, Andrea RN and Aletha for such service excellence! Facility is very clean! Such a well manage facility with staff members who are there to give you their 110% service. Cynthia A.

The staff that I had direct contact with were very helpful when I was there for my procedure. The staff that was involved with rescheduling my first appointment that was postponed because of the snow fall, should be trained in what to do in emergency situations. That person might get a 1 star, she seemed nice, but never passed on my info to the doctor's office, or at least she should have told me to contact them. I had called the number they listed on my prep documents.

I'm leaving this review because of how we were greeted. We came in 11:55 am and the person at the desk could not have been more unprofessional. What was interesting was her interaction with everyone else that came in after us. So friendly and personable. This office should do better.
