Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Knee ArthroscopyA camera and small instruments are inserted through incisions the size of a buttonhole to repair cartilage, trim a torn meniscus, or remove loose fragments. Because the joint is not opened fully, recovery is far faster than traditional open knee surgery.Shoulder ArthroscopyUses a small camera and instruments through tiny incisions to repair the shoulder joint — commonly for impingement, labral tears, or damaged cartilage. Most patients go home the same day and begin physical therapy within the first week.ACL ReconstructionRebuilds the torn anterior cruciate ligament using a graft, since a fully torn ACL does not heal on its own. The surgery itself is outpatient, but returning to cutting and pivoting sports typically takes nine to twelve months of structured rehabilitation.Rotator Cuff RepairReattaches torn tendons in the shoulder to the bone. Pain relief often comes well before strength does — a sling is typical for several weeks and full recovery commonly takes four to six months, with physical therapy doing much of the work.Carpal Tunnel ReleaseCuts the ligament pressing on the median nerve at the wrist to relieve numbness, tingling, and night pain in the hand. The procedure takes about 15 minutes under local anesthesia. Night symptoms often improve immediately; grip strength returns over several weeks.Joint ReplacementDamaged joint surfaces are replaced with implants, most commonly at the knee or hip. Once exclusively a hospital procedure, selected healthy patients now have this done at surgery centers and go home the same day with a structured recovery plan.

What a journey!!! I was worried about having Cataract Surgery. It was easier than knee surgery or a colonoscopy! The entire staff was friendly and thorough. After the first eye I felt as if my eye was "reborn." I could see colors and details that I have not seen since I was a teen! There is a frustrating part in the middle waiting for the second eye but well worth the wait. Thank you to the entire Team!

Had Evo ICL surgery here in January of 2025 and the experience was easy and painless. Day of the operation I was understandably nervous but the staff kept re-assuring me that everything was going great. Dr. Smith was very easygoing and kept checking on me during the procedure to make sure I was comfortable. The next day I was seeing 20/40 and by my one week follow up I was seeing 20/15 in both eyes. Highly recommend!

They made me pay two copays for my cataract surgery, but no copays were applied by the insurance company. It took four phone calls and over two months for them to send me a refund. Then they sent a check that wasn't even signed so I had to waste more time calling them again to have another check sent out. Very poor business practices. Be aware!

This review is for two people in particular. One, of course, is Dr. Vrabec who's reputation proceeds him. He is known as the best in the valley for a reason. I waited three months to get to him for cataract surgeries. He was very easy going and everything went smoothly. The second person I have to give a huge shout out and thank you to is Karen the pre-op nurse. Literally, if not for her, I'm not sure the first procedure would have happened. There was a misunderstanding with another nurse which had me in tears (faults possibly placed on both of us). Karen was so amazingly sweet, reassuring and calming. Karen had me relaxed enough to complete her job professionally and in a timely manner to get me into surgery. I was lucky enough to have her for my second surgery as well to say thank you and let her know how much of a difference she made. No doubt with such a good heart and that much empathy, she's chosen the right career. Thank you both again!!

Recently had cataract surgery at Pinnacle. Highly recommend. The staff is amazing. Always keeping me informed on what was happening and making sure I was comfortable during the process. Very efficient procedures without long wait times. Before the surgery, I had very poor eyesight and needed glasses to get by. Now I have excellent vision. It was just amazing what they could do. Thanks Pinnacle!
