Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Cataract SurgeryThe clouded natural lens of the eye is removed and replaced with a clear artificial one. It is one of the most common outpatient procedures performed in the country, usually takes under 30 minutes per eye, and is done under light sedation with numbing drops rather than general anesthesia.LASIK / Refractive SurgeryA laser reshapes the cornea to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism, reducing dependence on glasses or contacts. The procedure itself takes minutes per eye. Vision is often noticeably better within a day, though it can take several weeks to fully stabilize.Glaucoma SurgeryCreates a new drainage path for fluid inside the eye to lower internal pressure. Glaucoma damages the optic nerve silently, so the goal is preventing further vision loss rather than restoring vision already lost. Several minimally invasive options are now performed in outpatient settings.Retinal SurgeryRepairs the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye, most often for a detached or torn retina, or for bleeding related to diabetes. Timing matters — a detaching retina is treated urgently because delay increases the risk of permanent vision loss.Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)Removes excess skin and fat from the upper or lower eyelids. When drooping upper lids block part of the visual field, the procedure is functional rather than cosmetic and is often covered by insurance if visual field testing documents the obstruction.Corneal TransplantReplaces damaged or clouded corneal tissue with donor tissue. Modern techniques often replace only the affected layer rather than the full thickness, which shortens recovery. Vision improves gradually over months, and stitches may stay in place for a year or longer.

I had cataract surgery through Ideal surgery at this Advanced Surgery facility. Ideal Surgery had me call Advanced Surgery 2 weeks prior to get the cost. They provided it and I payed it the day of surgery. Three weeks later I get a $600 bill from the anesthesiologist. This was never mentioned by Ideal or Advanced. These two offices are not well organized or forthcoming about the true cost of the surgery. Be aware and shop around

I can’t believe the bad reviews. My cataract eye surgeon was Dr. Michael Stock. Both appointments 10/23/24 for the left eye and 11/11/24 for the right eye couldn’t have went smoother. The up front desk assistance were very nice and helpful. All the nurses and the anesthesiologist were very kind, supportive and efficient with all the patients coming through. I got in a little early on 10/23 and on 11/11 I waited about 15 minutes past my scheduled time to go back to get prep for surgery. When you come out of surgery they offer you a little snack and drink and call your driver. My driver accepted the call right off and the nurse walked me out. I saw nurses go outside and hunt down drivers that were not right there waiting. They went way and beyond what they should have had to do to get their patients on their way home. PS, Dr Stock is an excellent surgeon and a kind doctor.

I had cataract surgery yesterday and had a wonderful experience! Front desk was very helpful. I had received a call a few days prior to see if I had any questions and they told me I would not have a co pay on day of surgery. We arrived early since coming from illinois so they had my file all ready to be called for surgery prep. All nurses and staff were so kind and courteous and instantly put me at ease. Everything was thoroughly explained to me and I saw Dr Stock before my surgery. After surgery, I received something to drink and a snack I was then walked out to meet my husband waiting with the car. A great experience and ready to get my other eye done. Thank you Advanced Surgical for the professional and wonderful job!!

If your doctor tries to use this place, please refuse. I had surgery there, and they charged me my deductible up front, which wasn't the problem. They overcharged me by more than $800 dollars. When I got my EOB and saw the discrepancy, I called them. They told me they would have to look into it and never called me back. I called again, and they told me the check was in the mail. Never received it, and called again. They told me I should have the check by the end of the month. Still didn't receive it, and they are still trying to tell me the check is in the mail. It's been almost 5 months since my surgery.
