Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

ColonoscopyA flexible camera examines the full length of the colon to screen for cancer and remove polyps before they become cancerous. Done under sedation, it typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. The bowel prep the day before is the part most patients find hardest.Upper Endoscopy (EGD)A thin camera passed through the mouth examines the esophagus, stomach, and the first part of the small intestine. Used to investigate persistent heartburn, difficulty swallowing, unexplained bleeding, or abdominal pain. Usually takes 15 to 30 minutes under sedation.Flexible SigmoidoscopyExamines the lower portion of the colon only, rather than its full length. Preparation is lighter than a full colonoscopy and sedation is sometimes unnecessary, but it cannot detect problems higher in the colon.Capsule EndoscopyYou swallow a vitamin-sized camera that photographs the small intestine as it passes through โ€” a region that standard scopes cannot easily reach. There is no sedation and no recovery. The capsule passes naturally, and images are reviewed after the fact.ERCPCombines endoscopy and X-ray imaging to diagnose and treat blockages in the bile and pancreatic ducts, most often gallstones stuck in a duct. Unlike a routine endoscopy, it carries a meaningful risk of pancreatitis afterward, so it is used when treatment is likely rather than for screening alone.Hemorrhoid TreatmentShrinks or removes swollen veins in the rectum and anus using rubber band ligation, injection, or surgical removal depending on severity. Banding is quick and typically requires no anesthesia; surgical removal is more effective for advanced cases but recovery is noticeably more uncomfortable.

I have been here 3 times in the past 5 years. 1 for me 5 years ago, 1 for my wife 1.5 years ago, and my most recent visit today. I don't know what the 1 star reviews are talking about. The whole experience is amazing and the staff is awesome. The nurses are the most wonderful part of this place. They are caring and thoughtful, especially when they could see I was a bit nervous. The doctor was great as well. I prefer a doctor that is quick and to the point. He has things to do and I do as well (small business owner). Everything about it was amazing, except paying. Being self pay is not fun. However, this is not their fault. They are just working within the rules that our stupid government has setup for health care. Overall, AMAZING. Not a place we like to go to, but when we have to we like the people that work there. They are great. Thank you!

Worst experience for a procedure!! The biggest problem I had was the nurse that was in the procedure with me and then wheeled me to the recovery spot. As soon as she left me she then went over to some other nurses and proceeded to make fun of what my colon looked like! She described it to look like a safari and completely had a mocking tone. I was so horrified by her comment that something was wrong with me and very shocked by her unprofessional nature. Doctor Gonzales barely told me anything and when I tried to get more information he just blew me off and acted like I was taking too much of his time. With the amount of money we pay to these people, you would think they would actually do their job right. We will never go back there again!!!

Don't understand 3.4 rating. Staff and Doctor Redd were excellent in their mannerisms and care. Information and communication were excellent also. Staff just plain provided a great experience.

I had to leave a review for the billing department, because I read so many negative reviews about that process. I called with 2 questions, and the person who I spoke with answered both of them beautifully. So helpful. I appreciated it! I would work with them again. Also, the surgery went great :)

Very friendly, patient staff. Front office was polite and helpful, and the nurses were excellent. I was asked multiple times if I had a concern, and my one concern was addressed in a way that I was pleased with. Other reviewers have commented that you feel like a number and not a person; I didn't feel at all that way. They are very efficient and I was in and out in good time but didn't feel rushed. Definitely recommend.
